Your donation to CPPS of Seattle will help ensure that our programs can continue. Programs like:
- Forums on school district issues bringing together parents and community with district staff and leaders for constructive discussions on hot issues. New for 2008-2009 will be "lunch bunch" day-time forums. Our monthly newsletter and web-site are also used to educate parents and community on issues.
- GoPublic! campaign to help public schools achieve higher enrollment, often by addressing preconconceived impressions of schools, working with our school "ambassador" network to bring parents together, and working with the district to make sure parents' enrollment concerns are addressed.
- "What Parents Want" — CPPS will continue to identify and advocate, both publicly and behind-the-scenes, for district-wide policy changes that are parent-driven.
Parents and community participation have had a huge positive impact on many individual schools. CPPS is focused on taking that same constructive, positive energy and channeling it into improving all schools in the district. Please contact us if you have other ideas you'd like to see.
